I make objects in attempt to hold what's absent.
Working with eyes closed, my left hand explores an object or surface while my right draws what it feels. From those touch drawings I move to spinning, extrusion, casting — using local clays, graphite, brass, and handmade charcoal.
The work takes the form of memorial vessels, burnished mirrors, ritual bowls, and drawings. Each piece begins with touch.
Commissions welcome.
