Alchemical Potrait #1

This continues my exploration of intuitive techniques that bypass conscious control. For this work, I touched my face with one hand while simultaneously drawing these sensations with the other using ink and a paintbrush. This method creates a tactile translation—my fingertips reading the contours and textures of my face, while my drawing hand records these impressions without visual guidance. The resulting marks capture a direct physical experience rather than a visual likeness, forming an abstract portrait that emerges from touch rather than sight. Like my other works inspired by Madge Gill, this piece seeks to access a more instinctive creative process, where the body's knowledge takes precedence over the critical mind.
